Dust off those unused coins and get ready for Shenanigans to go to NAMCO Funscape in the MetroCentre Gateshead! We are going to be going on the 5th of March! We will be partaking in the activities at the Funscape including, bowling, dodgems and possibly Angry Birds Mini Golf. There is the possibility for a meal to be had after the fun but this will be confirmed at the time.

We will be meeting at 11-11:30 am at the entrance to the NAMCO Funscape, situated at the Yellow Mall entrance opposite Mcdonalds. We will confirm with the group what is going on and when but the general rule of thumb is, do whatever you enjoy!

By Car
Situated just off the A1, Metrocentre is easily accessible for drivers and a popular choice because all parking in our main car parks is free of charge.

By Bus
Over 100 buses an hour arrive at Metrocentre’s Public Transport Interchange from across the North East. Operators include Nexus, Go North East, Stagecoach and Arriva.
The Centrelink Service X66 operates from Gateshead Metro Interchange every 7 – 8 minutes during the day, every 10 minutes weekday evenings and every 15 minutes weekend evenings.
Metrocentre Shuttle 100 travels from Newcastle City Centre regularly throughout the day and takes approximately 15 minutes to get to the shopping centre. There is a service every 8 minutes during the day, every 12-15 minutes during evenings and every 12 minutes on Sunday from Newcastle Monument and Central Station.

By Train
Metrocentre is on the national rail network and has its own train station. It takes just 7 minutes by train from Newcastle Central Station with trains during the day every 15 minutes, less frequently during evenings and on Sundays. Frequent services are available from Newcastle, Sunderland, Teesside, County Durham and stations along the Tyne Valley Line to Carlisle.
