Our milestone 40th When Furballs Strike furbowl has been booked for Saturday, March 12! The theme will be "Video Game Villains!" - From Bowser (Super Mario Bros.), Dr. Robotnik/Eggman (Sonic) and Sephiroth (Final Fantasy), video game lore is filled with memorable baddies. Come dressed or accessorized as your favorite villain and enjoy the many themed prizes in our raffle!

Note: We had originally planned a February date but decided to postpone one month due to high COVID-19 numbers with the Omicron variant, which are already declining in the Puget Sound area (yay!) This also gives attendees more time to get their vaccine boosters as well. We want our attendees, and this event, to be as safe as possible.

Also the King County Mandate requiring proof of vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours is still in effect, so we will be checking proof and issuing hand stamps at the door again. Please refer to the COVID-19 Safety box below for further details.

FURSUIT CHANGING/GROUP PHOTO

We have a dedicated room for fursuit changing/storage (behind the party room partition). Please be courteous to other attendees and only use this room if you need to, and try to space out usage so it doesn't overcrowd. We hope to again secure a 10x10 pop-up canopy w/walls as additional changing space at the other end of the lanes.

The fursuit group photo is now AT THE BEGINNING before the lanes turn on for bowling, around 2pm! When setting up for the photo please let shorter fursuiters be in the front, and spread out side-to-side as much as possible since the photo is taken as a panoramic.

PRICING/REGISTRATION
I was able to negotiate a reasonable price increase for our event as bowling prices went up quite a bit after the lanes were forced to shut down due to the pandemic. Here are our new price levels - please note the $20 SuperSponsor level remains the same!

$11 Base Reg - Bowling, shoe rental, 1 raffle ticket

$14 Special - Bowling, shoe rental, 5 raffle tickets, 1 FurLife sticker decal

$20 "SuperSponsor" - Bowling, shoe rental, 15 raffle tickets, extra Supersponsor (SS) raffle ticket to win special prizes, and the SS gifts, which for WFS 40 will be a FurLife decal and commemorative button pin featuring our WFS logo and "When Furballs Strike 40" on the top! All pre-registered SS will get one, with the rest going to at-event SS while supplies last.

Each registration comes with 2 games of bowling and shoe rental plus raffle tickets. To pre-reg (recommended) send your payment via Paypal: paypal.me using the "send to someone you trust" option. Please include in the Notes section your FurLife username or what name you want on the screen while bowling. We will plan to do 4 bowlers per lane (instead of the usual 5) so everyone is more spread out.

IMPORTANT: If you would like to bowl in a group, please make sure ALL members pre-reg (put in the notes section who you want to bowl with) or check in together in-person. This prevents confusion and rearranging bowlers later on!

If you pre-reg, there will be a separate, much faster-moving line for where you check in, pick up your raffle tickets and lane assignment. You may buy extra tickets at that time as well. Pre-Reg closes at NOON on March 11th (day before WFS).

Extra raffle tickets can be purchased during registration for $1 each, or 5 for $4. All raffle ticket sales go towards the prizes for the next meet, and the cost to keep our FurLife site running on Meetup. For on-site registration, Cash or card is accepted. For cards there is a .50 fee per registration through our secure payment processing system.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
11:30am - Party room opens
12:30 - Registration opens (on-site & pre-reg check-in)
1:45 - Registration closes
2:00 - Fursuit Group Photo (usually in the middle of our assigned lanes, listen for announcement)
2:15 - Bowling starts
4:15 - Bowling ends, last call for ticket sales
4:30 - Awards & Prize Raffle

PRIZE RAFFLE

As always there will be a TON of amazing prizes for attendees to take home in our prize raffle which takes place after bowling ends (around 4:30). Mostly animal or furry-related, as well as some collectibles and nice gifts for your home.

We accept donations for prizes - they must be cleared by me before being donated, so PM me or comment below. Donators get 3 free raffle tickets per prize donated (at least $10 in value, in new/like new condition), up to 9 total.

For those new to the prize raffle, each ticket comes in a pair, simply separate each ticket and drop ONE of the two matching numbered tickets into the bag labeled with the prize you want to win.

FOOD

Kenmore Lanes has a full restaurant and bar for us to order from at our leisure. Please do not bring in any outside food or drink as this is against Kenmore's house policies. Things like bottled water/sport drinks kept in the party room for our fursuiters is fine and encouraged.

AFTERWARDS

We will be giving out fun awards for high game in “classic” & “fursuit” divisions. We will also be running our prize raffle again with lots of fantastic gifts to give away for bowling with us at WFS! Additional tickets will be sold just prior to the raffle.

We should be finishing up around 5:15pm. Kenmore has been a great host for us in the past and was very kind in giving us this great deal, so please help clean up after yourselves. Let's try leave the place looking cleaner than when we came in!
