MANCFURS NOVEMBER 13th 2021 @ CHURCHILLS – MEET INFO, RULES AND FAQ

Hello everyone! We’re very excited to see you all on Saturday!
In advance of the meet, we’ve prepared this document so that everyone can know what to expect on the day.
If this is your first MancFurs meet back after our long break during the lockdown(s), we highly commend that you give it a full read through before attending, as there are some important things to note regarding info such as: how you can prove your Covid status at the door, rules for attendees under the age of 18, and info for fursuiters with regards to the lounge in the new venue.
Thanks in advance for reading, and we hope everyone has a great time!

MANCFURS: FURMEET RULES AND DETAILED INFO

-Please DO NOT attend if you have symptoms of Covid-19.
More info: www.nhs.uk. If you are unsure, we would recommend that you complete and report a rapid Lateral Flow Test (LFT) before attending. Info on where to find LFTs here: maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk

- You MUST show proof of your covid/vaccination status AND proof of a negative test from the past 24 hours to gain entry to the meet if you are 18 or above.
This can be done by showing the following:
- The Domestic NHS Covid Pass on the NHS UK/NHS Scotland Covid Status app, or your Covid Pass Letter (highly recommended) OR your NHS Covid Vaccination Card + a form of ID such as Driver’s License, Passport etc. (must have been two weeks since your second dose)
AND
- An SMS text confirmation OR your covid test history in the NHS App indicating a reported negative PCR or rapid LFT test from the past 24 hours. (Message a member of staff on Telegram if you are unsure.)
Both of the above can be shown on the NHS App (not the NHS Covid-19 App).
We highly recommend that you download the NHS app and follow the steps in the app to get your Covid Pass as soon as possible if you haven’t already. It is preferred by us because it is quick for us to verify with the QR code so all attendees can enter efficiently and is immediate proof of your status.
However, we understand that not all attendees have been able to access the Covid Pass on the app due to completely valid personal circumstances. Therefore, we will accept the above forms of proof of vaccination/a negative test. For your own safety, we recommend that you do not attend if you are over 18 and are not fully vaccinated. Also, please know that in accordance with the most recent government guidance, individuals under 18 will not have to demonstrate their Covid-19 status for entry to this venue/event.
We recommend that you scan the NHS Test and Trace QR code on the door as you enter, but this is not mandatory. Face mask-wearing inside the venue is a matter of personal choice. Hand sanitiser will be available inside the venue.
(Please understand that the above rule prioritises both the safety and accessibility of our meet. We could have done nothing and let anyone enter regardless of their potential Covid status but have instead chosen to give multiple options for our attendees to prove their status. As staff, we have allowed time to see other events return and have based our decisions on what other similar events are doing regarding Covid. Also, please understand that all bar staff are tested regularly. We, of course, cannot 100% guarantee that you will not contract Covid during the meet, so please understand that as an attendee you are accepting this risk. However, we hope that you understand that we have tried our best to create a safe, yet accessible meet under the current circumstances.)

- Upon being checked at the door upon your initial entry to the meet (and at any time you wish afterwards), you may receive a stamp on the back of your hand from the door staff – show this upon re-entering the venue to be immediately let back in without having to prove your Covid status.
(The ink on this stamp is 100% skin safe and dermatologically tested on humans. If you are concerned about the ink smudging/transferring, we recommend that you let the ink dry for about 20 minutes, then run it under a cold tap to wash the top layer of ink off. If the ink gets on your clothing, please understand that it will wash off with soap and warm water as it is not permanent. You may ask the door staff to re-apply your stamp at any time if it has faded.)

- Any attendee under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian/adult that will be responsible for them while they are in the venue.
Anyone found to be under the age of 18 that is not accompanied by an adult will be immediately asked to leave the venue. Failure to present valid ID to the bar staff to confirm your age may also result in your removal from the venue – so please bring ID!

- No under 18's are to purchase alcohol or have alcohol purchased for them.
This is against the law and breaking this rule will result in an instant ban.

- No food / drink other than that which is purchased at the bar is to be consumed on the venue premises.
Drinks brought from outside the venue are also not to be consumed on the tables opposite the venue, although food may be consumed here provided you clean up after yourself. The exception to this rule is bottled water or dietary drinks, which may need to be approved by the bar staff (protein shakes, for example). Failure to comply with this rule may result in a warning or ban.

- Please respect others’ personal space and no not touch people without permission.
This should be self-explanatory, but please ASK before hugging/touching others, even if they are in fursuit!

- No fetish/kink/ lifestyle gear is to be worn during the meet.
This includes items such as bondage cuffs, non-nylon harnesses, ‘hoods,’ leather/PVC gear, and diapers (the latter excludes incontinence items, but the venue does not have a dedicated disposal for these, so you will not be able to change them in the venue as this poses a hygiene risk!).
While we do not in any way wish to police peoples’ clothing/lifestyle choices, please bear in mind that the venue is open to minors, and this is not a kink event. As some kink events refuse entry to people who aren’t in kink gear, we, as a non-kink event open to minors, have chosen to maintain a rule against kink gear at MancFurs. Any persons wearing items described as above will be politely asked to remove them. Repeat offenders may receive a warning or ban.

- The Fursuit Lounge is for storage of furmeet equipment and fursuit luggage and is a changing area for people in fursuits/costumes resembling a fursuit. Only fursuiters, handlers and meet staff are allowed inside the fursuit lounge!
The fursuit lounge in Churchills can be found past the bar and to the left of the venue upon entering. Fursuit luggage may be stored here. If you would like a more private changing area, there are toilets down a stairway only accessible from the lounge.
As per the venue’s request, names of suiters and handlers will be noted down upon their initial entry to the lounge. Fursuiters will also be asked to provide a contact such as a Telegram username so we can quickly get in contact with you if we need to regarding your belongings. This list of fursuiters’/handlers’ furry names and telegram usernames will be deleted after the meet.
We also ask that there be a maximum of one handler per fursuiter, unless your costuming/de-costuming process absolutely requires more than 1 handler. This is to minimize crowding in the lounge.
Also, please make sure that doors, disabled access ways and stairs are always clear from bags!

- ONLY WATER is to be consumed in the fursuit lounge.
Any other drinks found in the lounge area will be moved into the main venue area. This rule is important because spills can happen, and nobody wants wine/Pepsi/etc spilled on their fursuit!

- NO PHOTOGRAPHY or VIDEOGRAPHY is permitted in the fursuit lounge.
Anyone caught photographing or taking videos will receive a warning instantly. If you are taking photos in the main venue area, we ask that you try not to point your camera towards the lounge area. Please respect one another’s privacy.

- The Fursuit Lounge is to be cleared of all attendee belongings before 5PM!
Please collect all your items and remove them from the lounge before this time. Lost/left items will be handed into the bar or kept hold of by meet staff, who may inform suiters that have left their contact info with the staff.

- No use of illegal substances is permitted within the venue premises. This includes the tables outside.
