Our quarterly FurLife bowling event When Furballs Strike 39 has been booked for Saturday, Nov. 13! We were lucky to secure this date for our next Furbowl with a busy convention & holiday filled end of 2021 coming up. The theme will be World of Marvel, a chance to celebrate the amazing films, stories and characters that make up the Marvel Comics universe! Come dressed or accessorized as your favorite Marvel character and enjoy many themed prizes in our prize raffle.

IMPORTANT EDIT: Starting 10/25, those attending indoor recreational establishments in King County will be required to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event. Attendees must be prepared to show proof before entering the building. For more information refer to the "COVID SAFETY" section below.

FURSUIT CHANGING/GROUP PHOTO

We have a dedicated room for fursuit changing/storage (behind the party room partition). Please be courteous to other attendees and only use this room if you need to, and try to space out usage so it doesn't overcrowd. There will also be a 10x10 pop-up canopy w/walls as additional changing space at the other end of the lanes.

We will once again be doing the photo AT THE BEGINNING before the lanes turn on for bowling, around 2pm! When setting up for the photo please let shorter fursuiters be in the front, and spread out side-to-side as much as possible since the photo is taken as a panoramic.

PRICING/REGISTRATION
I was able to negotiate a reasonable price increase for our event as bowling prices went up quite a bit after the lanes were forced to shut down due to the pandemic. Here are our new price levels - please note the $20 SuperSponsor level remains the same!

$11 Base Reg - Bowling, shoe rental, 1 raffle ticket

$14 Special - Bowling, shoe rental, 5 raffle tickets, 1 FurLife sticker decal

$20 "SuperSponsor" - Bowling, shoe rental, 15 raffle tickets, 1 FurLife sticker decal, extra Supersponsor raffle ticket to win special prizes, and the Supersponsor gifts, which for WFS 39 are a beautiful FurLife logo cork beverage coaster AND a very cool WFS holographic decal!

The gifts will go to Supersponsor pre-reg first, and if there are extras, at-event Supersponsors will also get them while supplies last.

Each registration comes with 2 games of bowling and shoe rental plus raffle tickets. If you would like to pre-reg (highly recommended), send your payment via Paypal: (easy link: paypal.me) using the "send to someone you trust" option. Please include in the Notes section your FurLife username or what name you would like to appear on the screen while bowling. We will plan to do 4 bowlers per lane (instead of the usual 5) so everyone is more spread out.

IMPORTANT: If you would like to bowl in a group, please make sure ALL members pre-reg (put in the notes section who you want to bowl with) or check in together in-person. This prevents confusion and rearranging bowlers later on!

If you pre-reg, there will be a separate, much faster-moving line for where you check in, pick up your raffle tickets and lane assignment. You may buy extra tickets at that time as well. Pre-Reg closes at NOON on November 12th (day before WFS).

Extra raffle tickets can be purchased during registration for $1 each, or 5 for $4. All raffle ticket sales go towards the prizes for the next meet, and the cost to keep our FurLife site running on Meetup. For on-site registration, Cash or card is accepted. For cards there is a .50 fee per registration through our secure payment processing system.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
11:30am - Party room opens
12:30 - Registration opens (on-site & pre-reg check-in)
1:45 - Registration closes
2:00 - Fursuit Group Photo (usually in the middle of our assigned lanes, listen for announcement)
2:15 - Bowling starts
4:15 - Bowling ends, last call for ticket sales
4:30 - Awards & Prize Raffle

PRIZE RAFFLE

As always there will be a TON of amazing prizes for attendees to take home in our prize raffle which takes place after bowling ends (around 4:30). Mostly animal or furry-related, as well as some collectibles and nice gifts for your home.

We accept donations for prizes - they must be cleared by me before being donated, so PM me or comment below. Donators get 3 free raffle tickets per prize donated (at least $10 in value, in new or like new condition), up to 9 total.

For those new to the prize raffle, each ticket comes in a pair, simply separate each ticket and drop ONE of the two matching numbered tickets into the bag labeled with the prize you want to win.

DJ

DJ Recca has confirmed to spin at WFS 39! He was one of our original WFS DJs 6 years ago, and we look forward to having him back.

FOOD

Kenmore Lanes has a full restaurant and bar for us to order from at our leisure. Please do not bring in any outside food or drink as this is against Kenmore's house policies. Things like bottled water/sport drinks kept in the party room for our fursuiters is fine and encouraged.

AFTERWARDS

We will be giving out fun awards for high game in “classic” & “fursuit” divisions. We will also be running our prize raffle again with lots of fantastic gifts to give away for bowling with us at WFS! Additional tickets will be sold just prior to the raffle.

We should be finishing up around 5:15pm. Kenmore has been a great host for us in the past and was very kind in giving us this great deal, so please help clean up after yourselves. Let's try leave the place looking cleaner than when we came in!
