Aurawra is a concept, an idea made real from the minds of a group of individuals in the Sydney Furry Community who have many years of experience in management, lending their expertise to some of Australia's existing furry conventions, as well as organising local NSW events. It is a convention whose motto stands as “By the community, for the community” with big plans to give not just local furs, but those interstate and even internationally a great space to enjoy being part of the fandom. It is a three day ticket to good fun, with good friends, in a great space.
Aurawra will be a three day furry convention held in the world famous Olympic Park, at the Novotel Sydney Olympic Park Hotel. It is a unique location 3 minutes from the train station and about half an hour from the Sydney CBD. We will proudly be hosting panels of all kinds, a Saturday night dance, a Dealer’s Den and weather permitting outdoor events such as fursuit games and Art in the Park. A proper schedule will be released as we get closer to the date, along with Guests of Honour and other details, so stay tuned to our website and social media for up to date information!
