Irish Furries: Abbyleix Meet

What’s that? Is that a furmeet you hear? 👂

It’s only been 603 days and 8 hours since our last in-person furmeet, but who’s counting… right? ⏰

Where: Abbeyleix Heritage House, Rathmoyle, Abbeyleix, Co. Laois
When: 30th October 2021, 3:30pm
Why: To visit 'The Werewolves of Ossory' Experience. This exhibition will tell the history of Druids and Werewolves in Ireland, the legends of lycanthropes from Old Irish manuscripts, and includes a short documentary! 🐺 What’s even better is that the tour guide is a member of the Irish Furries community 👀 and that fursuit heads, paws and ears are allowed (no tails, props or bodysuits, sorry!)
Cost: €5 per person

How to get there:
Car: Abbeyleix Heritage House has a car park. Maybe see if you can find a fur who can pick you up en route and make it an adventure! Bring the tunes and the snacks.
Public Transport:
Portlaoise Train Station is the closest train station to Abbeyleix Heritage House. There are direct trains from Cork (Kent) and Dublin (Heuston) Station. Once you arrive at Portlaoise Station, the 828 or 858 bus can take you directly to Abbeyleix Heritage House in just 15 minutes!

If you’re travelling from Dublin, we suggest getting the 14:00 train from Heuston Station, then getting the 858 bus route, which arrives outside Portlaoise Train Station at 15:00. If you’re coming from Cork (Kent), we suggest getting the 12:25 train.
